Elon Musk’s Selfie Lifting Weight At xAI Headquarters Goes Viral; Vows To Fix ‘Leftist Indoctrination’ In Grok AI
A selfie of Elon Musk with the technical staff of xAI and the very first investor at Uber has gone viral.
The Tesla’s billionaire boss is seen lifting weights in the picture. The selfie was shared by Roman Garchev, a former Microsoft techie who also had stints at Snapchat Inc., Pinterest, and Yandex, among others.
Resharing the media on X/Twitter, Musk quipped, “Training Grok AI 3.5 while pumping iron at xAI.” He further wrote, “I am increasingly confident that Grok 3.5 will be the smartest AI by a significant margin. Replying to a user complaint, “Grok has been manipulated by leftist indoctrination, unfortunately,” Musk wrote, “I know. Working on fixing that this week.”
The selfie with the xAI staff comes within weeks of Musk’s exit from the Department of Government Efficiency. The AI industry is going through a churn. Every other week, rival firms drop a product or feature, bragging about it being the best in the business. Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, xAI, and others are in the race for AI dominance. These companies also are on an AI-fueled layoff spree, ironically building a top-tier techie team to build the first AGI (artificial general intelligence). Posting a selfie with techies will only boost the morale of the employees who would not fall for poaching.
