Scheduled for release in China on December 5, the OnePlus 12 is positioned as the successor to the OnePlus 11 5G, which debuted in February of the current year. Essential specifications like the processor, camera features, and color variants have already been officially disclosed by OnePlus. Adding to the anticipation, the company has revealed additional details concerning the forthcoming flagship model’s battery, charging capabilities, and connectivity options. Live images of the phone have been shared by a prominent OnePlus executive, complemented by additional leaked images online that provide insights into key specifications of the OnePlus 12.

OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis has provided a glimpse of the upcoming OnePlus 12 through live images, showcasing the device in two distinct color options—Pale Green and White. The Pale Green variant is notably adorned with a marble-like finish on its rear panel, adding a touch of elegance to the design. Additionally, Louis has confirmed the availability of a third color option, Rock Black, further expanding the range of choices for potential users.

As per a Weibo announcement, OnePlus has officially stated that the OnePlus 12 will have a robust 5,400mAh battery, complemented by a high-speed 100W wired SuperVOOC charging capability and a swift 50W wireless charging feature. Additionally, the device will support wireless reverse charging.

Remarkably, the combined wired and wireless charging solutions are expected to charge the phone efficiently from 0 to 100 percent in just 26 minutes and 55 minutes, respectively. OnePlus asserts that the battery life of the OnePlus 12 surpasses that of comparable flagship Pro models, boasting an impressive DOU (days of usage) of 1.79 days.

OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a “multi-functional infrared remote control function,” allowing users to control home appliances conveniently from their smartphones. The device will also incorporate “all-region multi-functional NFC” and will be compatible with the latest low-power Bluetooth 5.4 technology.

In a separate announcement, the company affirmed that the OnePlus 12 will ensure swift connectivity through USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1. Additionally, the flagship smartphone will boast an IP65 rating, signifying its resistance to dust and splashes enhancing its durability in various environments.
