OnePlus Ace 5 And Ace 5 Pro Set To Go Official On December 26; Here’s What To Expect

OnePlus has just confirmed that the highly anticipated Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro smartphones will be officially launched on December 26. The excitement has been building since the phones appeared on the Oppo Store in China, and fans are eager to see what the brand has in store. Louis Jie, the President of OnePlus China, shared that the standard OnePlus Ace 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Ace 5 Pro will feature the even more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite. According to Jie, the performance of the Ace 5 will feel like a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.5, suggesting a major leap in smartphone power and capability.

One of the standout features of the Ace 5 series is something called Glacier Battery Technology. This involves a thinner Si/C battery design, which allows OnePlus to boost the phone’s mAh capacity while keeping the profile slim. While specific details about the battery size and performance are still a mystery, this innovation highlights OnePlus’s focus on balancing battery life and sleek design.

When it comes to hardware, the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro will share much of the same internal components, meaning users can expect a similar experience across both models. Both phones will feature a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, ensuring vibrant colors, rich contrast, and smooth performance with an adaptive refresh rate. For photography, the devices will pack a solid triple-camera setup: a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto lens, and a 2 MP macro sensor. This combination will allow users to capture stunning images, whether zooming in on far-off subjects or taking detailed close-ups.

Battery life is another key factor to consider. The Ace 5 is expected to feature a larger battery compared to the Pro model, which will come with a 6,100 mAh cell. This should be more than enough to get users through a full day of heavy usage. The Ace 5 Pro’s larger battery, combined with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, may also enhance performance, making it an even more powerful device overall.

While the key differences between the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro seem to revolve around the chipset and battery size, other aspects like design and features should be quite similar across the two models. OnePlus has a long history of delivering high-end smartphones with impressive performance, and the Ace 5 series looks set to uphold that reputation. With just a few days until the launch, both tech enthusiasts and OnePlus fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to see how these devices compare to other premium smartphones on the market.
